Stocktaking of energy-efficient technologies in Tajikistan
The study covers the analysis of 21 energy-efficient and habitat improvement solutions that have been piloted in Tajikistan by development organizations. It contains information on lessons learned, bottlenecks and success stories related to each solution, including testimonies of beneficiaries.
As a first step, Geres carried out a desk research to identify all development organizations in Tajikistan that were working in the field of energy efficiency/renewable energy technologies. As a result, 9 organisations, both international and local, were invited to take part in the survey.
Secondly, Geres developed a comprehensive questionnaire aimed at collecting information on the type of technology, distribution mechanisms, impact assessment, potential innovative elements and lessons learnt.
The ultimate goal of this study is to inform current and future Geres programs and create a catalog of solutions and recommendations that may be useful for development organizations when making decisions about the specific technology.
