Great recognition for the hard work of Geres in Mongolia!
In Mongolia, our colleague Oyuntuya Batmunkh has just received a “Honorable Medallion” from the National Women’s Association, as well as an appreciation letter from the Governor’s office of Arkhangai, for her hard work and dedication to the CEMAATERR program.
This program promotes and provides institutional support for adaptation and mitigation measures aimed at increasing the resilience of rural regions and secondary cities to the effects of climate change.
Our Mongolian team is therefore dedicated to helping local authorities mainstream climate change into local planning. For example, a safe house for victims of domestic violence has been built to shelter 14 people and it meets all the environemental requirements of an eco-house and is the first of its kind in Mongolia.
Congratulations to our colleague Oyuntuya for this great recognition and to the entire team involved!
