Summary and Geres role
StovePlus Academies are one-week workshops for entrepreneurs in the cooking energy sector. They are organized by Geres in partnership with local organizations.
The aim is to foster exchanges of knowledge between stakeholders in the sector (entrepreneurs, development practitioners, etc.), at the level of a country, sub-region or continent, on different elements of the cooking energy value chain with a view to enhancing their skills; equipment, technology and trends capable of adaptation to different markets; design, production and distribution methods; issues in the energy sector; and the “life-cycle” approach.
The workshops, punctuated by field visits, attract around 20 participants and are facilitated by experts from within or outside Geres, identified according to their skills and experience in response to the needs expressed by the entrepreneurs.
